A key Man in American History, a man that I highly admire and wish there would be more of his stamina and passion: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.



So this month is February and in America it is known to be "Black History Month". I wanted to take this time and space to acknowledge some of the main people in African American history (many of them my personal heroes). To fight for a good cause should be something every man should want to stive for but unfortunately it is not. These men and women defied threats from society and chose to stand up for themselves and others to make this world we live in a better place. It is worth to think about what you do to make this earth a better place. If you have a voice use it!



A woman that was tired from all the abuse her and her people had to endure so she sat down. And in our hearts she remains. Rosa Parks.


Harriet Jacobs. A remarkable writer who decided to let everyone know the story of her life in her narrative; In the Life of a Slave Girl.





He is a man of words and peace. A face we shall never forget. Nelson Mandela.

There are many more people, generations before, present and future that have fought, are fighting and will fight for their rights and for peace. Let us all aspire to be a good person with a cause in our life. This is "Black History Month", know why it is, who we can thank, and be proud of living in a society with people that want to make a difference.
